Are your thighs bigger than 24″ (60 cm.)?
I read on Yahoo! News that this was healthiest? Mine are 26″.

I think they have to be firm, too. I run daily.

No
answer mine? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090905104344AAK38t2
Mines are 18″.
17
Actually mine are 24″ exactly. I read an article about that same study earlier .. but the one I read said that putting on weight doesn’t change your risk, it’s based more on how thick your thighs are when you’re thin.
ooooh … yours says the same thing, I missed it (sorry)
Mine actually are firm. I use my exercise bike every day.
I’m 5’8 and mine are 26. I like to squat allot! 465lbs max. Don’t know about the article thought. Glad to hear the study facts.
Do you mean upper thigh? Or mid-thigh?
My upper thigh: 20″
Mid-thigh: 16″
Right because a ‘healthy’ size for a six foot woman is going to be the same as a five foot woman…
24-25 i believe.Used to be 25.5 when i was bulking. That article is absolute stupidity.Dorian yates had 30+ thighs in his prime a lot of pro bodybuilder have 30+ thighs.
Mine are 18
I’m afraid that’s not a particularly good way of measuring health. If you read the article it is about one study that thigh size MAY indicate health.
In the world of health and fitness you have to be really careful with generalization.
I would also wait for a lot more research on this.
And my thighs measure 30 inches but I’m a powerlifter.
20″ and firm here, guess I need to do squats to build them up larger so I can live longer, lol!
Well, I had to go measure, and mine are 21″. They’re always coming out with new studies that say this and that. I’m amazed at how often they later retract what was found in an earlier study. Sometimes it is just the opposite of an earlier study, or there are just a lot more variables involved. There probably is something to this, but I’ll bet this is one that needs more work on it before they can say a definite. There are just too many sizes of people, in my opinion, to make this kind of generalization.
No much smaller but then I am female, wouldn’t want to look too muscular, just toned is enough
