I need to replace the trackpad on my ipod mini?

Mobi News | Friday June 25 2010 10:00 am | Comments (1)

now bcuz ive opened it myself to tinkle with the battery when it was continuously going out ..and that worked apple cant do anything for it now. Anyways…but some how …while doing that i didnt know to diconnect the lil membrane type thing at the bottom that connects the trackpad. and while sliding everything out i particially ripped the membrane. so good news bad news …it came back on but the trackpad wouldnt work. Tried putting some tape on it …made it worse. So Ive searched ebay and have found the piece (inexpensive) that I need to repair. Thing is Im not sure if I have a 1st generation or 2nd generation mini, its a blue 4g. and since its just a trackpad ..I wondering will it matter??? and also …will that be easy to do or shall I look forward to making more problems?
